Promise is an accountability app for couples built around the fact that commitment should be visible.

In the last 30 days, the app pulled 5.3M views with a format that people can’t stop watching.

  • relationship insecurity → public confession → receipts.

All of its traction is coming from just two creator accounts that only started posting two months ago: @girlhacksbyjas (3.4M views) and @girlhacksnaomi (3.2M views).

Just three videos alone drove nearly half of that:

1.3M views

"Does the disgusting feeling u get after finding the girls he watches on his phone ever leave?"

938.6K views

"pov: you say goodnight to your bf and he tells you he's going to sleep… then 20 minutes later you get this notification"

508.7K views

"Mfs be like 'i love you' then get off to random girls online"

They’re using one format that works and replicating it. Relationships insecurities turned into content.

close-up face → text confession → cut to app screen

And like any drama confessions comes comments;

What’s interesting is that Promise’s own account is basically inactive. They bet entirely on creator accounts and the bet paid off.
