A new anime tracker is starting to gain real traction across Francophone markets, and most of that growth seems to be coming from one founder and one French led TikTok account.
MangAdvice: Anime Tracker launched on April 1, 2026. Less than a month later, it had reached the Top 100 in more than 10 French speaking countries and passed 7K downloads on Android.
So far, the growth appears to be driven mainly by one French TikTok account run by student founder Mohammed Berrim.

He is not building around trends, edits, or skits. Instead, he posts long selfie style videos where he explains the app and gets straight to the problem.
The strongest early signal came just one day after launch.
On April 2, 2026, he posted a video that was 24 seconds long. It reached 412K views and 7.4K bookmarks.
The video works because it calls out a problem anime fans know well: spending more time looking for something to watch than actually watching anime.
Then, he gives the solution. He explains that he created an anime recommendation app that suggests shows based on each user's preferences.
The early signal is strong. One founder, one account, and one clear video were enough to drive real traction quickly. For a newcomer, that is a very solid start.
